The FIS Vehicle Valuation Platform is a built-in module within the FIS Web Application,
designed to serve as an industry benchmark and guiding reference for used vehicle pricing in Malaysia by utilizing historical data to ensure consistent and reliable valuations.
Building on its role as a pricing benchmark, the platform aims to address the issue of
inconsistent used vehicle valuations in Malaysia by offering a transparent and consistent reference to support fair and informed transactions across the automotive industry, particularly the hire purchase financing providers.
Valuations are currently calculated using a one-year moving average of vehicle selling price data sourced from the e-Hakmilik database. This average is presented on the platform as a guiding reference for the current fair market value.
It plays a critical role in fostering market stability, enhancing institutional and consumer trust, and supporting informed decision-making for all stakeholders in the automotive and financing sectors.
In future phases, the platform will incorporate data from market leaders and adopt a more sophisticated valuation formula, moving beyond simple averages to deliver more accurate pricing. It will also offer API integration for industry users and mobile app access for consumers.
At present, the platform is intended for use by financial institutions, hire purchase companies, and automotive dealerships. However, it is designed to eventually support regulatory authorities, insurance providers, and consumers as part of its broader rollout strategy.
It is currently in a Beta Release phase starting 15th July 2025. An official launch is scheduled for January 2026 and will be available to all FIS subscribers at that time.

This usually occurs after borrower/hirer missed at least 2 payments and is a way for the financier to recover their losses. It is always best to communicate with the financier if you're facing financial difficulties as they may offer solutions to help avoid repossession.

agents, customer service coordinators and AHPCM members.
Only authorized subscribers of FDR will have total access to the system.

b) With the above, current manual processes are automated to facilitate tracking and follow up.

quarterly basis and the system will consolidate all the ratings to obtain average ratings of the repossession agents. This system will reflect the complaints and suspension status of members.
